Use this activated carbon to embed BRONZclay™ and COPPRclay™ pieces for firing. Coconut shell–based carbon produces a light patina colour on your pieces. To prepare the carbon for use, place it inside the container, cover with the lid and fire for 30 minutes at 1550°F. For a more richly colourful patina, try the coal-based acid-washed activated carbon BRONZclay and COPPRclay must be completely surrounded by activated carbon during the firing process. The carbon can be used for at least 12 firings.
